Knowledge vs. Understanding

Understanding is very different than knowledge. We could learn about something in great detail many facts about it, and yet not really understand it. To understand something is to gain the meaning OF It.Understanding comes from the mind while knowledge comes from an act. In other words you do not need knowledge to understand. You can understand something first and then choose whether you want to become knowledge on the particular subject. Having knowledge is going to be good knowledge is better then understanding in my opinion
